Dry Gulch Wildfire Update

Fire crews completed hand line around wildfire perimeter Friday and all lines held overnight. Fire crews are focused on securing edge and mop up (extinguishing or removing burning material along or near the control line). The fire area received a small amount of precipitation. The wildfire is 10 acres and 80% contained. Unless there are significant changes in fire behavior next update will occur Monday.

The Dry Gulch Wildfire was first reported Friday morning, April 26. It is located in the Pecos Ranger District south of Dalton Canyon and west of NM State Highway 63.
